The vet reccomends purina!?!

After visiting the vet for a pom with itp. The vet handed out samples of Purina dog crud, along with a calender we threw out along with the food. We never went back to him and her..after much research regarding itp, and the vets solution of lifelong prednisone, we immediately weaned her from prednisone.We started her on 50 MCG of vitamin k, its been over a year without a bout of bleeding. The prednisone was surely making her ill in ways too many to mention. Suffice to say prednisone was given to cats that were allergic to? Dogs that itched…..while we were there most everyone that left, left with a script if prednisone….Beware of this treatment as Cushing’s disease…….We have lost faith in most vets, they hand out and reccomend foods that are known allergens to canines etc.We learned quickly Most vets are the last people to ask questions regarding nutrition, yet the first to give you the worst food on the market….
