Stop the Peefest!

I acquired my pom when he was approx. three years old. He apparently was dropped as a pup and suffered a brain injury. He has issues with his weight, has seizures occasionally and drinks water excessively. I have tried to take the water dish away, but he pants all day and night without it. He has increased his urinating. Now he loses his bladder control immediately following drinking. It does not allow enough time to take him outside. HELP!!!

Leave his water outside for now

Have you tried to bring him outside to drink his water? If possible take him to the vet to see if there is anything else going on with him.

Peefest

I sincerely believe that you should return to the vet that made the diagnosis of a brain injury for a follow-up. The reasons that I can give for this are only placebo solutions for you. There has to have been further information given to you about this brain injury as to the symptoms that you will view and the care that has to be given to your pet. Brain injuries behave in many different ways and is not a guessing game. Please return to your vet for a follow-up as sometimes the solution is very simple to relieve this dog of his problem. RR
