my little tiny pomeranian taz had to be put to sleep 4 days ago,low blood sugar level leading to renal failure. i am heart broken.taz was bought for me as a mothers day present for company for me and to help me through the grieving progress of losing a son. i had never heard of pomeranians before but soon found out that he was very very small for type. taz had two preveious owners, with one he ended up with a broken leg which meant he could’t exercise being so small and always falling over. he wasn’t a typical pomeranian apart from being very loyal.he was a lap dog. this is a warning to people who want to buy these really tiny dogs from dodgy dealers who breed them small without testing out congenital defects, they end up having shorter life spans 1 to 5 years.i can’t understand how people can buy a dog and sell them on after a year and it happened to taz twice no wonder he was so timid when i got him but at least i gave him all the love he deserved in the three years i had him and no matter how desperate for money i’ve been at times i could never have sold him,i’ve had plenty of offers to buy him from strangers but taz was priceless.it is suspected that dodgy breeders bred two runts of a litter to breed taz and he has suffered.how can people be so cruel just for the sake of making money?

REally small pomerains

I am very sorry that you have lost your puppy. I have lost quite a few animals and it is very hard to try not to think of this. You have to be patient with yourself but you will grieve very much. I grieved the longest six months and I just had to buy another pet. In my case, I would not buy the same kind of breed because I thought a different breed would help me to heal faster, It did. Nine years later, I still miss him but now I have finally come to terms with why he left me. It takes time. We do have to be cautious of puppy mills. If people stop buying from them, it will eventually stop them, but people are always looking for a bargain and most times they don’t work out and cause us grief. I hope that you are able to find another which is in good health. RR
