Patellar Luxation – Knee Joint Problems Also Common To This Dog

My little pom/female will be 11 years old in December. She has a lot of the above mentioned health issues that are being treated, but now I notice her right hind leg seems to be out of joint or something when she walks. Just wondering what would fix this. Thank you. Cynthia

Kee Joint Problems

Actually, you should bring your dog to a vet for blood work and ex-rays. This will rule out or infer that she has arthritis. Arthritis develops at different ages and dos, like human beings do not have to be very old to suffer from this. In the meantime, I would try to keep her as warm as possible with a hot water bottle in her bed when you see her resting or perhaps little doll sweater on her. I wore cabbage doll sweaters on mine, sewed to size whenever they seemed to be chilly. A diagnosis by your vet would relieve your mind. Take care. RR
