Overweight and seemingly distressed pomeranian

Overweight and seemingly distressed pomeranian

My Pomeranian which has grown up with my family since a puppy and now is 1 1/2 year old has become overweight and seemingly sad. I have tried different methods and this became an issue after me and my family moved from a bigger home to a smaller home. Unfortunately, we lost another dog and I’m confused on what to do as it’s been a year and nothing has helped ?

Overwieght and Seemingly Distressed

by: Rita Rail

Your pom is very young to be overweight and you must correct this immediately. If you are unable to feel the ribs, then the dog must be put on a diet. Overweight and especially from table treats can cause problems with health. You have an assessment made by your vet to advise you of the right amount of the proper food to be offered and how many times a day. I have had to do this with my pom and she has gradually attained her recommended weight. Take Care. RR
