My Pomeranian is shaking and yelping for no reason?

My Pomeranian is shaking and yelping for no reason?

My pomeranian is almost 2 years old, and this has never happened before. A few days ago we noticed that he would yelp out of nowhere, even if he was just laying still. He also got extremely shaky. I know that shaking in small dogs is very common, but he has never, ever done this before. He has been walking with his back legs apart as well. Every time someone makes a sudden movement, even if we are nowhere near him, he yelps and shakes. We have no idea if he is in pain or what could be the cause of this, but its very sad hearing him crying like this and not being able to help! Does anyone know what this could be? We simply do not have the money to take him to the vet right now either.

My Pom is shaking and yelping for no reason.

by: Rita Rail

Your pom sounds like he really is in pain and there could be something wrong in his groin area if he is walking with his legs apart and yelping in pain. People often think that if they purchase a dog when quite young, it will be a long time before we face vet bills but that is not always so. It sounds like you have not prepared for this problem of which you have no control. I wonder if you could have a fund raiser among your family and friends to help towards this cost? This problem can happen to anyone where we sometimes become short on funds because of other expenses and I am sure your family and friends will understand that help is needed. I would not delay this because the shaking usually denotes a lot of pain so I would telephone to the vets in your area for the cheapest rates. I have also been told that the SPCA will give the care needed by their staff at no cost or a small fee. Please do not taking care of this before you have a more serious problem. Take care. RR
