I am sure that if two vets have examined your dog, cataracts have been ruled out. The eyes turn a very light blue colour with cataracts They can be removed but this is very , very expensive. I have been told by another person, that her dog had no trouble adjusting to being blind. He smelled his way around the house. The stairs leading downwards has to be blocked off so he would not fall. Otherwise, he was as normal as can be. Another disease of the eye is cataracts. The eye looks normal but the drainage tubes behind the eyes have the ability to begin to dry up and sight is completely gone unless it is early enough to do surgery. This means, creating a new area of drainage. This type of surgery is done by an Eye Physician and Surgeon. This would be extremely expensive and I am not sure that it is advisable to do this. Please consult with the vet again with this information. RR
