When I was feeling better

When I was feeling better

I have a very small Pomeranian she is now 10 years old. about 2 years ago I noticed two pea size lumps which I was told by my veterinarian was a form of breast cancer. We have had her two lumps & breast removed. My veterinarian recommend that I have her spayed at that time as well. He said she could or more than likely have cancer issues again if I don’t have her spayed. 6 months later I gave her a lion haircut (her style) and it was odd her hair didn’t grow back and about 90% is just gone. I have had her to the vets office and was sold a set of products called calming spray and shampoo. This was VERY EXPENSIVE AND DIDN’T WORK. I have tried every kind of coat to keep her warmth in but everything is making the skin rash and smaller sores on her skin. I now have a tiny electric blanket she lays on all the time.within the last 6 months I believe that this has happened 4 times when I have been home. She’ll be sleeping and the lets out a scream and wet all over herself. This seems to last 30-60 seconds and then she just looks scared and confused. She looks abused but trust me she’s my Queen I will go to the ends of the earth for her. I am single and she is equal to having a child to me. Anyway, if someone has any helpful tips for a dog coat or heard of a medication that might bring her hair back please post. Also the waking up and screaming and losing control of her bladder could it be age it happens so fast and then she’s fine

You have such a beautiful little dog. My smallest one is ten lbs. and is now ten and very healthy. I understand your sorrow as my youngest is 6 now and has Cushing’s disease since 3. I am not saying that this is what yours has but it would be worth while checking out. This was discovered at 3 with her annual check-up, Crystal is losing some hair and urinates more than when she was younger, a lot more. She has been on capsules for this and her weight has been brought down to the appropriate lbs. There has not been any screaming out and I am assured that she will have a long and peaceful life. Her medication has done wonders for her. Please have your dog vet checked as this has to be done to find out what her problem is at this time. This is the time in her life that she should have vet attention for any further problems. Take care RR
